Time to attach one's wings and over to Nevereverland as some one puts it. A quick call in to visit old friends and then back to sea. New camera toy packed, loads of spare batteries and memory chips, hold the vinegar. Fingers crossed for some decent piccies

  1. Will you be in Rottingdam at all? As places in Nevreverland go, it's good if you like old boats!Let us know. We shall be away Friday to Snday, but back Sunday evening. Depends on how long you're here for I suppose, and if you get down this way.

  2. Sorry VallyP we flew straight to Schippol and train to Ijmuiden. We had a short weather window and grabbed it asap and finnished by Saturday morning. We will soon be entering our busy time of year when our passports get a bit of bashing and our usual mode of transport is the overnight ferry from Harwich to the Hook and a short train ride to Rotterdam to find a train to near the vessel, so who knows, when, where or whenever. The Insurers say jump and we say how high, depending on the weather, must remember they are canal barges and they do not like the North sea too much. Dutch officials thin us nuts and if we were Dutch nationals we would be arrested, some how it seems that we are breaking Dutch law's but because were nut's it's ok. Oh and that's depending on the paperwork being in order and that local taxes have been paid. He He sneaky deliveryskipper slips out of the Schelde at night when the Kustwatch are sleeping in their beds, seems they knock off at six at night.

  3. Hi Keith. Interesting set of pictures but I am not sure what I am looking at - The brass "still" in one of the pictures looks like it can push out some good quality booze - great when you have it on hand for a crossing with the inside of the vessel looking like that - after all the faults found - wondering if more were to surface (sink - bad choice of word)perhaps the "still" in the corner was a great idea...
